Below are a few of our favourite people.

Phillips Karl - Classical dressage in books, DVDs and YouTube clips. 

 

Monty Roberts - Great books on horse training and stories of his past.

 

Buck Brannaman - DVDs and books on horsemanship and teaching a solid foundation through to advanced (bridle horse level). 

 

Parelli - DVDs and books. Very educational when beginning to understand horses and great if you want to look at specific issues as there is a huge library available. 

 

​Warwick Schiller - Books and DVD/online materials. You can access a free trial on his website for access to his library. Wawrick is a very calm and knowledgeable horsemanship instructor that brings years of experience. 

 

Joe Walter - Another fantastic horsemanship instructor, I have his DVDs.

 

Martin Black - Another great horsemanship instructor, I have seen several of his DVDs and his methods are similar to that of Buck Brannaman.

 

Gillian Higgins - Author and content producer of everything horse anatomy and biomechanics related. Lots to be learnt from Gillian. Highly recommend her massage for owners course too!

 

Clare MacLeod - The truth about feeding your horse. This is a great book on horse nutrition and feeding.

 

Piggy March - Online platform is brilliant for those interested In eventing.

 

Some less specific educational ideas could be books and videos giving ideas on what to do with your horse, looking at pole patterns and exercises. Maybe you may want to look into educating yourself on correct saddle and tack fit or massage/bodywork techniques. Find an area that interests you and look into that. Don’t forget to share the great stuff you find in our group too because it may also be interesting to others 🙂
